Surah Al-Shurah, Verse-40 (42:40)

مَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى الله

“One who forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah”

Reconciliation and forgiveness is a transaction between myself and Allah, and not between me and another person.

If I apologize and make amends, then this is to please Allah, and this makes it so much easier to do.
